The Process for Designing a Ring
We can design a ring for you or we can make a ring from a design or picture that you submit. Once a design is determined here are the steps:
Determine your budget
Determine the stone. If it is a diamond, decide what size and clarity.
Decide on the metal, gold (14k or 18k), white gold, rhodium, silver, platinum
JJIT will send you an estimate for the ring. The actual price will not be more than 20% greater than the estimate, unless substantial changes to the original request have been made.
With your written approval for the estimate, JJIT will send an invoice for half the total amount due.
Once the invoice is paid, JJIT will release the jeweler to create the ring. He will send pictures along the way, showing the progress.
Depending upon timing, the ring will be mailed or hand-delivered.
You will receive paper of certification from the jeweler in India. If you would like a GIA certification, an appraisal from a certified gemologist will be secured at an additional cost.
The ring will be delivered and payment for the balance will be due at that time.
Please send us a picture of you and your fiancée with the engagement ring and once you have your wedding sets!
Once the jeweler receives clear pictures or drawing and the ring size, it will take 3-4 weeks to create the ring/set. It will take one week for delivery from India. We suggest that you allow two to three months to complete the process.
Returns or exchanges are not allowed on customized jewelry, special orders, and engraved items.
